Coaches

Our coach is Dan Grant, a Brit. Dan holds coaching licenses both in the States and in the UK. Dan originally started his soccer career when he was selected at schoolboy level to try out for Fulham FC (English Premiership Club). Although he did not make the final cut, Dan went on to play college soccer as well as representing the UK at college level for Basketball. On leaving college Dan signed professional contracts with Seensee Sonics and played basketball in the National Basketball League. Forced out of the competitive game due to an arm injury Dan first turned his hand to coaching. He became a noted basketball coach and coached a college team to the "Final Four" three out of four years. He was then selected to be coach for the Inner London Capitol team but…

Immigrated to the USA instead and went back to soccer, playing 13 years in the United Soccer League alongside many ex professionals, internationals and New York Cosmos players. He came to Pittsburgh 11 years ago where he is also Director of Coaching and Player Development for Sewickley Area Soccer. He maintains close contacts with numerous area coaches and has been rumored to turn out for Accrington Stanley when a Hotspurs game does not conflict.
