Hotspurs philosophy is to build a strong committed team that plays total soccer. In addition, we seek to advance each player's soccer skills and career as far as possible. For these reasons we do not cherry pick every season, nor do we subscribe to a revolving door roster. We are committed to our players and expect them to be committed to us. It is more important to us to play quality soccer rather than win, with a firm belief that as our soccer improves our win ratio will improve also.

The style of "total soccer," which we employ, was made popular by the great Dutch teams of the 1980s and more recently South Korea, Russia, etc. (i.e. no stars just a great team). This style emphasizes positional play with attacking fullbacks, wing play, overlapping etc. It has also been termed "Thinking Soccer."

Another belief that we have is that it shouldn't be financially onerous to play soccer. For this reason, we have some of the lowest fees in the league. The tournaments that we enter tend to be closer to home. Our dues are normally around $500 for each season.
