Start in soccer:

I started playing soccer when I was 4 years old for the Armstrong County YMCA.  No one else in my family played and I think my parents just signed me up so that I could run around and burn some energy off.

Inspiration to coach:

I'm not sure if there was one person or turning point that lead me to coach, but I guess it's a compilation of all of the coaches that I had.  I'm thankful that they always made soccer a fun learning experience for me and helped me to channel my extremely competitive personality.  After struggling for a long time trying to figure out "what I wanted to be when I grew up" because I had no real passions outside of soccer, it finally clicked for me one day when someone reached out to me about applying for my first coaching job.

Favorite part of coaching soccer:

As a player and as a coach, I have always loved training!  I love competing, learning and trying new things and training is the perfect environment for all three of those things!

Favorite player/team:

I love to watch any women's soccer.  I really like watching Megan Rapinoe and Kelley O'Hara play because they're gritty, skillful, resilient, energetic and they seem like the type of player who will go out of their way to be a great teammate.

When not coaching soccer:

I love going to see live music, hiking, drinking coffee, giving out crisp high fives and most recently I've taken an interest in kayaking.
