Start in soccer:

I remember playing soccer in 2nd grade for the first time for Monroeville Soccer Club.  I played for a team called the Stars and my coach was Russ Maze.

Inspiration to coach:
My dad was the person that inspired me to coach.  Growing up he always coached me in baseball and eventually in soccer as well.  He seemed to have a natural talent to lead people.

Favorite part of coaching soccer:

My favorite thing about soccer is that it is always evolving.  I have seen a stopper/sweeper be a prominent defensive shape and now it is seldom used.  The flat back four changed the way we taught the game and the current trend is the 4-3-3 which is a lot of fun to teach.

Favorite player/team:

Favorite player right now is Lionel Messi. My favorite team right now is Liverpool.

When not coaching soccer:

My favorite hobby would be just spending time with family.  My wife Valerie and I have 4 children (Ava 15, Benjamin 14, Lucas 14, Lydia 11).
