Our philosophy is a simple one, to be the missing link in the player development pathway.

Coupled with passion and an irrepressible desire, our stated aim is to maintain focus on homegrown, Pittsburgh talent. We’ll work to help you achieve greater opportunities to showcase your talent in front of college coaches, seek international playing opportunities, and in that -- allow international players to get in front of the Pittsburgh and American soccer market.

Our coaches will challenge you. There is no debate between winning and development – we will aim to achieve both.

We will give our players the opportunity to earn both individual and team accolades, conference and league honors, whilst aiming to represent Pittsburgh in National playoffs.

We are building a program that the community is already getting behind and are proud of. We expect our adult players to fully support this. Our teams will keep in mind, the game is meant to entertain. We’ll provide our fans the greatest opportunities to be entertained while they see a possession-based style of play.

We’re looking for players that are motivated to:

• Pass on what you know to Pittsburgh’s next generation of top players
• Improve your resume as you look towards your next playing career move
• Stay sharp during your off-season
• Commit to a family-culture while extending your trophy-laden playing career.

Training Schedule

The season for UWS1 runs from late May - July.

Games are primarily on the weekends, with some mid-week games possible.

Weekly schedule -

• 3x training sessions (1.5 - 2 hours)
• 1 or 2 games

Training will be held at Founders Field, Cheswick, PA in May, June, July. Training times will be determined after tryouts. Work schedules will be taken into consideration.

All games will be recorded using Veo. Players will be provided a login to the platform for in-depth personal game footage, stats, and vanity for each player.

Games

Schedules are released by March typically.

Home games will tentatively be held at Founders Field, Cheswick, PA.

Away games -- transportation and accommodations (as necessary) will be provided.

For the 2022 season, players are required to pay a $250/player fee. This fee can be covered by a ‘player sponsor.’ Fees include the full kit that players keep at the end of the season.

• Training kit - shirts, shorts
• Game shirt - home and away
• Game shorts (2)
• Game socks (2)
• Warmup Quarter-zip

Players must also have individual health insurance, American-visa

Community/Academy appearances: Our first teams serve as a focus for our younger players to strive for -- providing them greater incentive to train harder, run faster, and dig deeper; recognizing the opportunity and platform to showcase their talent.

To that, we’ll host academy events (awards night, camps, etc.) and community initiatives that first team players are expected to partake in. We believe strongly in the Pittsburgh community and value their support of our program — and in turn, we want to give back to them every chance possible.

We will have 35-40 players competing for 18 gameday roster spots on a continual basis for each roster.
