Start in soccer:

I started playing football at a very young age. When I was born, my uncle bought me my first pair of cleats and jersey, so it was embedded into my life from day one.

I played locally (Manchester, England) for teams in my area growing up -- playing for my school, the county and local high-level clubs. Yet, playing after school everyday with my friends is really where I learned the game most.

Inspiration to coach:

My Uncle was a big inspiration in my coaching career. After serving in the British Army, in 1999 he moved to America to start coaching soccer in Virginia. I visited him often and we'd go on road trips to his games while I was here. That got me pumped up about progressing my coaching career and making the move to the USA.

Favorite part of coaching soccer:

I love to see a player/team that I have coached, develop into better players/people on and off the field.

My job as a coach is to develop a player/team to the best of my ability, within this setting. If my players want to continue to play after they leave me or the club and have become a better player, I have done my job and I get such a kick out of seeing it over the years.

Tournament soccer is also is a lot of fun for the players and parents to create better bonds. It’s great to see those bonds forming in the flesh.

Favorite player/team:

My Favorite team is Manchester United – Fave player of all time has to be Ronaldinho!!!

Currently my fave player is – Antonie Greizmann

When not coaching soccer:

I love watching most American sports -- apart from baseball.

I also like to cook and expand my skills in the kitchen. As well as spend time with friends, visiting new and exciting places.
