Spurs Signing: Alyssa Otto

We’re pleased to welcome Alyssa Otto to the Pittsburgh Hotspurs (WPSL) Women’s First Team.

Currently a sophomore at Mercyhurst University, Otto grew up in Bridgeport, Ohio and played for FC Wheeling United and Saint Clairsville High School.

“I’m grateful to be given this opportunity to be a part of the Pittsburgh Hotspurs team,” said Otto. “I’m looking forward to playing with and against high-level athletes in a highly competitive league.”

In 2019, Otto achieved PSAC Freshman of the Year, PSAC West Division Player of the Week, All-PSAC FirstTeam, D2CCA Women’s Soccer All-Atlantic Region Second Team, United Coaches Division 2 All-Atlantic Region Third Team, and PSAC Scholar-Athlete Award.

Otta started in all 19 games as a freshman at Mercyhurst University and led her team with 14 goals, 4 assists, and 32 points.

“Being a part of the WPSL will be a great experience and will help me grow as a player. I’m very excited for the season to begin!”
