Adding some northern PA talent to the roster, Peter Mattocks has joined the Men’s First Team for our inaugural National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) season.

Mattocks, who is from Saegertown, is going into his senior year at Westminster where he has received First Team All-PAC honors all three years.

“Peter is a striker with a strong physical presence, who can hold up the ball or run in behind the back line. He has an eye for goal and links up play very well,” said Coach Tom Campbell.

Mattocks has also trained with NextStar Academy in Spain.

“I want to play for Pittsburgh Hotspurs because I feel like it will be a great opportunity for me to gain some more experience in my soccer career,” said Mattocks. “I am looking forward to the competitiveness of the league and working with my teammates and coach to have a successful season.”

The Pittsburgh Hotspurs first game is May 25th in Erie against the Commodores. Tickets can be purchased here.
